When I mentioned that the O*W*C was about to launch a blog, one of the other hosts asked why; after all, we already had a message board. There’s a pretty good discussion of the differences between the two here at CommonCraft.

As I see it, this blog will be a little like a daily version of our monthly newsletter. It will focus a little more closely on science fiction news, science news that seems rather SF-like, and musings about both (although there’ll still be room for the occasional squid). Being of slightly narrower focus, I think a blog will be a useful addition to the O*W*C’s offerings.

(Besides, hopefully having a blog will guilt us into posting a little more regularly. ;))
