We entered Shadaughter in the Masquerade at WorldCon in Glasgow. To our delight, she just uncovered a YouTube clip of herself. So here, without further ado, is Shadaughter’s performance as a Vampire Cheerleader:

That was one of my favorite entries in the entire Interaction Masquerade. She was just as cute as a button, and did a great job running her routine even though I’m afraid the tech let her down a bit (not her fault!) I seem to remember running across her at one point after the show and personally congratulating her; I was the “Captain of the WSFS Armadillo,” the guy in the ship captain’s uniform who (among other things) gave the “This is your Captain speaking” announcements before the Masquerade and other major events.
While I think the YouTube clip was shot by someone in the audience, the convention does own a master copy of the shots from the in-house cameras. Someday Interaction hopes to release an official 2005 Masquerade Video.

Yes! Yes! Yes! We were told there would be a video, and I keep hitting the Interaction Website looking for news of the release, only to have my innocent and puppylike hopes repeatedly dashed. Tell us whom we have to pester, and we’ll get right on it.

Congratulations on a fine performance, Shadaughter! You’ve been YouTubed. Awesome. Even better that the YouTube-ing you recieved had nothing to do a plane crash or a jihadi video.

Kevin has a Google alert set up for anything “WFSF”, “Worldcon”, and “Hugo” or something to that nature. He’s on the Mark Protection Committee for WSFS :-)
