The studio has announced that they’ll be adapting the first two books of Dan Simmons’ Hyperion Cantos (Hyperion<\/A> and Fall of Hyperion<\/A>) into one feature film. Trevor Sands, a relative newcomer, convinced the studio to let him write the adaptation by “taking a selective approach to the two novels’ multiple points of view in a way that managed to coherently and unconfusingly tell the story.” I’ll believe that<\/I> when I see it.<\/p>\n Graham King (The Departed<\/I>, Blood Diamond<\/I>, The Aviator<\/I>) will be producing. No word on a director yet.<\/p>\n This would be a pretty awesome movie with the right script and a big enough budget.
