Either this report was released by the Institute for Well, Duh or the journalist was having a little trouble trying to make a story about a fossilized frog sound exciting. There were plenty of dinosaurs whose hatchlings were lizard-size.<\/p>\n
Anyway, it was 16 inches long and weighed 10 lbs or so and is described as being “quite mean,” although there’s no indication how they know that; perhaps it had a little Anger Management handbook fossilized with it.<\/p>\n
The only reason I mention the discovery at all is because they’ve given it the formal scientific name “Beelzebufo,” which is so wonderful I may need to lie down for a few minutes.<\/p>\n
