We mentioned Sean Tevis, the “Candidate from the Internet” previously<\/A>. He lost the election (although it was close, which is still quite a feat considering that he was a complete unknown running against a career politician).<\/p>\n He’s begun campaigning for another run in 2010, and has come up with an interesting way to let donors get involved. He’s meeting with as many senators as possible, asking them to help accomplish the goals he wanted to achieve, and he gives each senator he meets a commemorative T-shirt printed with donor names. Even better:<\/p>\n As you may know, Stephen Colbert was recently robbed of his chance to get a module of the international space station named after him. While I encourage Mr. Colbert to just change his name to ‘Tranquility’ (the name NASA chose) and claim victory – it doesn’t seem likely. Mr. Colbert needs some name-recognition love from elsewhere.<\/p>\n Therefore, if we manage to get all 50 politician’s shirts sponsored by June 1st, I will officially name my car “The Spirit of Colbert” in big letters across the sides.
