There’s a “She Blinded Me with Science” Joke in Here Somewhere

Contact LensIan Pearson, a “futurologist” (which is a job title I want; sounds nicely nebulous) who advises companies on cutting-edge technology, has predicted that contact lenses with embedded TVs will be available within 10 years.

Furthermore, he asserts that “digital tattoos” would pick up on the emotions portrayed by the actors and create impulses making us feel the same emotions. This would, he says, “allow James Bond fans to feel the thrill of outdoing the enemy or sports fans to experience the elation of jubilant players.” The technology would all be powered by body heat.

And if my grandmother had three speeds she’d be a vibrator.

I was going to make fun of this, but I think it’s almost self-parodying. I’m sort of impressed that the Daily Mail article just…takes it all at face value.
