Tor Books is getting ready to launch an “SF super-site,” and is making John Scalzi’s “I’m going to Out-Heinlein Heinlein” novel available for download as a free e-book. There will be other free books available as well; to get the Scalzi book and be notified when others are available, you have to sign up for Tor’s newsletter. Sounds painless enough.

Old Man’s War is a decent read, and you can’t beat free.
