The National Space Society recently held an art contest for the NSS 2009 Space Settlement Calendar. They’ve just announced their winners and have posted a gallery of images.

The one shown here is “After the Storm” by Raymond Cassel. It won grand prize, and it’s just wonderfully evocative.
