V Returns (Maybe)
Twenty-five years after the original V miniseries, creator Kenneth Johnson is continuing the story in a new novel and is also talking about doing a movie. IESB.net has a chatty interview with him about the new book and potential movie.
Have you noticed that the movie industry is currently in the process of cannibalizing the 80′s? They’ve already done Dukes of Hazzard and Miami Vice, they’re currently remaking Knight Rider and The A Team, and now that they’re running out of more-popular material they’re turning to things like V. Eventually they’ll be scraping the bottom of the barrel with a big-budget remake of Alf, which will signal the end of Western Civilization.
Also, V ruined the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise for me, because whenever ol’ scarface would lurch onto the screen I’d think, “Hey, it’s Willie!”
Also also, if they’re going to remake stuff from the 80′s, why has nobody done McGyver? That’s just wrong.
