'Frequencies' is a novel of the near distant future where behavior is monitored and controlled in a warped 1984-ish way. It is a novel of suspense, criminal behavior, and a distinct phobia of human thought and psychology on the part of society. With the continued incursion of government into our everyday lives, could the fiction of 'Frequencies' become the reality of tomorrow?
I found 'Frequencies' to be disturbing on the level of fear it seemed to feed on. Having a police force capable of monitoring human brain frequencies without society's knowledge is verging on the ultimate of privacy invasion, all for the supposed good of said society. The future in this novel seems bleak indeed.
